I have been helping nonprofits (and a select few for-profits) build and maintain their websites since 1999. I am the Web Content System Manager for Lewis & Clark College, and I belong to a collective of web gurus called NetRaising, dedicated to professional Web services for nonprofits and some good-hearted for-profits.
Most of my freelance work comes through NetRaising contracts, and you get a great deal for your money. However, you can still hire me directly to do hourly jobs. Generally speaking, I charge $80/hour for complex, roll up the sleeves and get dirty projects and $25/hour for little, sit beside you and pat you on the back jobs.
I have strong expertise in the following:
- Web languages like HTML 4, XHTML 1, CSS 2
- Start-to-finish website development
- Web audio, podcasting, videocasting
- Blogging, writing for the Web, Wikis
- Software like Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat, Flash
- Content Management Systems and Learning Management Systems (Note: Oregon's own ExpressionEngine is my personal favorite CMS.)
