The Dump was a band I joined when I was 19 in New Orleans; I played rhythm guitar for nearly a year and then took over lead vocals for nearly two more years. We played constantly, far too many gigs really, and usually for three hours a night for reasons unknown. We had at least five drummers I can think of off hand. The band ended when lead guitarist Gary Love died in a motorcycle crash and second guitarist Matt Rudolph entered dental school. Bassist Chris D. Lee played with me on many songs in the 1990s, including being half the duo Perm, and has gone on to greater things with the straight-ahead rockers Supagroup. See Yesyesyes for more on our 90s collaborations.
